Texas Rangers lineup for June 25, 2021 against the Kansas City Royals: starting pitchers are RHP Dane Dunning for the Rangers and LHP Mike Minor for the Royals.

The Rangers are starting the final leg of their 10-game homestand with a weekend series against the Royals. Former Rangers All-Star starter Minor will face Texas while Dunning will attempt to break his bizarre, odd-innings curse.

The Andy Ibanez carousel continues with the Cuban import starting in his fourth different spot in his four starts since being recalled on Monday. Today Ibanez is the squad’s designated hitter with Willie Calhoun getting the day off against a left-handed hurler.

The lineup:

  1. Isiah Kiner-Falefa — SS
  2. Eli White — LF
  3. Adolis Garcia — CF
  4. Joey Gallo — RF
  5. Andy Ibanez — DH
  6. Nate Lowe — 1B
  7. Nick Solak — 2B
  8. Jonah Heim — C
  9. Charlie Culberson — 3B

Tonight’s series opener is scheduled to begin at 7:05 pm CT with the Rangers presumably wearing their embarrassing Friday truckstop gift shop hats with the home whites. I assume the roof at The Shed will be closed because the Rangers play in Texas and it is hot here.
