At least the minor leaguers won a few today

2017 Major League Baseball Draft

It was Frisco with a doubleheader today, providing us with five games again today...

Starting at the lowest level and then moving up, Tyree Thompson started for the Wood Ducks and got run in the third inning after he hit a batter. then had the batter charge him, resulting in a bench-clearing brawl:

Nic Laio gave up a run in 3.2 IP in relief on 2 hits, including a home run, and one walk, striking out 4. His ERA is now 1.64 on the season. Joshua Javier gave up 3 unearned runs in 1.2 IP, and while he allowed just one hit, he also allowed 5 walks while striking out two. Leury Tejada allowed an unearned run in 1.1 IP, striking out two and allowing one hit and one run.

Evan Carter had a home run and two walks in six plate appearances. Luisangel Acuna went two for four with a walk and a steal. Cody Freeman had two walks, two doubles, two stolen bases, and a single. Keyber Rodriguez had a double. Thomas Saggese had a single and a stolen base. Dustin Harris had a hit and a walk. Obie Ricumstrict, who I am mentioning because I like his name, had a home run.

Frisco finished their suspended game from yesterday, and got stomped 16-8. Yerry Rodriguez went two innings yesterday, allowing no runs on three hits and one walk, striking out one. Jake Latz took over today when the game resumed but went just one inning, allowing two runs on two hits, including a home run, while striking out two. No indication as of yet as to why Latz only went one inning.

Fernery Ozuna got rocked, giving up three home runs among five hits while allowing five runs in 2 IP, striking out one. Blake Bass walked three and allowed two hits, including a home run, but game up just one run in 2 IP.

All told, Amarillo hit 7 home runs off of Frisco pitchers in the final seven innings of the suspended game.
