Down East had Abdiel Mendoza start for them, with Mendoza allowing five runs in three innings of work. Nick Lockhart allowed four runs on a hit, three walks and three HBPs in 0.2 IP. Marc Church had 2.1 scoreless IP, striking out five with one hit and no walks.
Alejandro Osuna homered. Dustin Harris doubled. Luisangel Acuna had a pair of hits. Cody Freeman and Thomas Saggese each had hits.
Hickory sent Cody Bradford to the mound for the start. Bradford allowed a run on four hits and a walk in 5 IP, with 7 Ks.
Jonathan Ornelas went two for five with a homer. Miguel Aparicio went three for three with a walk and a homer. Blaine Crim had two doubles. Kellen Strahm had two walks and two hits.
Ronny Henriquez took the hill for Frisco this evening, and spun one of his better performances. He went six innings and allowed one run on a sixth inning solo homer, walking one and striking out seven. Ty Thomas had 1.2 IP with 2 hits and 2 Ks. Fernery Ozuna gave up a home run in 1.1 IP with two Ks.
Josh Jung had a pair of hits and a walk. Steele Walker had a home run and a walk. Bubba Thompson had a double. Anderson Tejeda had a hit. Sherten Apostel left the game in the third inning for reasons that are not known right now.
The Express got scoreless innings of work from Demarcus Evans, Dennis Santana and Ryder Ryan. The Express had just three hits on the day.
The ACL Rangers game is still going on as I am posting this. I will maybe update with ACL info later.
UPDATE — Josh Stephan allowed three runs in 3.1 IP on four hits and three walks, striking out five. Destin Dotson allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one on 1.1 IP.
Angel Aponte had three of the four Rangers hits. Sam Huff was 0 for 1 with two walks before being lifted.
