Orceli Gomez started for the Wood Ducks on Friday. He threw four shutout innings, strikin* out four and walking one. Newly promoted Connor Sechler threw two shutout innings.

Dustin Harris was two for four with a home run. Cody Freeman, Keyber Rodriguez, Jose Acosta, and Jayce Easley all had hits.

Hickory took a no hitter into the seventh in a 20-2 win. Zak Kent allowed just one walk and no hits or runs in six innings while striking out seven. Nic Laio struck out five in three innings while allowing two runs.

Justin Foscue had two doubles and two homers and has his OPS for Hickory up to 1109. Blaine Crim had a pair of homers and a single. David Garcia had three hits. Kellen Strahm went four for five with a walk, a double and a homer. Jake Guenther had three hits. Jonathan Ornelas had two singles and a double.

Yerry Rodriguez gave up a run in 4.2 IP, walking five and striking out four. Ty Thomas struck out four in 2.1 scoreless innings. Hever Bueno gave up two runs in 1.2 IP. Fernery Ozuna gave up a run in 1.1 IP.

Jose Trevino started his rehab assignment with a two for three game. Sam Huff homered and walked.
