Down East had Nick Krauth starting on Saturday. Krauth gave up a pair of home runs on the way to five runs allowed in six innings, with four Ks and two walks. Teodoro Ortega struck out three in three innings of work, allowing a home run
Keithron Moss had two triples and a walk. Jayce Easley had a triple, a single, a walk and two steals. Luisangel Acuna had a hit, a walk and two steals.
Hickory’s game was suspended in the top of the third due to rain. Justin Foscue, of course, had already hit a home run before play was suspended.
Frisco sent Cole Winn to the mound, and he was lifted after two innings plus a batter, having reached 46 pitches, around his limit (which I’m guessing was 45 or 50 pitches). He struck out three and allowed three hits. Cole Uvila had two shutout innings.
Bubba Thompson had a single, a double and a homer. Josh Jung had a pair of doubles. J.P. Martinez had a walk and a homer. Davis Wendzel and Sam Huff each had a walk and a hit.
Jose Trevino went one for four as part of his rehab assignment.
Tyler Phillips was supposed to start for the Express today but obviously had to be replaced. Luis Ortiz started and went three shutout innings. Jacob Lemoine allowed a run in 1.1 IP. Tyson Miller allowed two runs in 1 IP.
Curtis Terry homered. Ryan Dorow had a single and a double. Yohel Pozo had two singles and a double. Yonny Hernandez and Carl Chester each singled.
Kai Wynyard started for the ACL Rangers and threw two scoreless innings. Nick Lockhart struck out three in three scoreless innings. Sergio Pacheco threw a scoreless inning. Emiliano Teodo allowed one run in one inning.
Maximo Acosta doubled. Alisson del Orbe, Daniel Mateo, and Hunter Bryan all had hits.
