Hickory finished up the game that was suspended on Saturday due to rain. Avery Weems pitched the first 2.1 IP before rain halted things on Saturday, striking out four and walking one.

Justin Foscue homered on Saturday pre-suspension and added a walk on Sunday when play resumed. Jake Guenther and Blaine Crim each had a hit and a walk. Miguel Aparicio, Kellen Strahm and Frainyer Chavez all had hits.

In Game Two, Foscue sat. I know, I’m sad too. Miguel Aparicio had two home runs, raising his OPS on the year to 942. Blaine Crim had two hits.

Jack Kruger and Elier Hernandez each went four for five with two home runs and a double. Weird, huh? Leody Taveras had a hit, a sac bunt, a sac fly, and a fourteen pitch walk. Carl Chester homered. Yonny Hernandez had a double and a walk.

All these games wrapped up before Frisco started. We will update with Frisco later tonight.

UPDATE — Ronny Henriquez opened with a run allowed in an inning of work. Cole Ragans made his AA debut and wasn’t real sharp — he allowed three runs in two innings of work on a three run home run. Ragans struck out three, walked two and hit a batter.

A.J. Alexy was dominant — he went 4.2 hitless shutout innings, walking one and striking out five. Nick Snyder got the final out of the game.

Frisco’s offense generated two hits — a Bubba Thompson homer and a Sam Huff single.
