Texas Rangers lineup for July 23, 2021

Welcome, Big Rig

MLB: Spring Training-Texas Rangers at San Francisco Giants Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Texas Rangers lineup for July 23, 2021 in the series opener against the Houston Astros: starting pitchers are lefty Kolby Allard for the Rangers and veteran right-hander Jake Odorizzi for the Astros.

The Rangers are winless in the second half still and things don’t get much easier as they open a weekend set against rival Houston tonight. There is a reason to tune in, however, as Curtis Terry will be making his MLB debut as the designated hitter.

After today’s transactions, the dust has cleared and Andy Ibanez remains to start at second base with Jonah Heim behind the dish as Jose Trevino gets settled back in.

The lineup:

  1. Isiah Kiner-Falefa — SS
  2. Nathaniel Lowe — 1B
  3. Adolis Garcia — CF
  4. Joey Gallo — RF
  5. Jonah Heim — C
  6. David Dahl — LF
  7. Curtis Terry — DH
  8. Brock Holt — 3B
  9. Andy Ibanez — 2B

Catch first pitch from Minute Maid Park scheduled for 7:10 pm CT unless, like me, you’ll be watching handball until Terry takes his cuts.
