The Texas Rangers scored one run but the Houston Astros scored three runs.

The losing streak is at 12 games. The Rangers went 0-for-the entire 10 game road trip to open the second half and are 30 games below .500.

Player of the Game: Eli White’s solo home run in the top of the fifth inning opened the scoring in this game which meant that the Rangers remarkably held a lead in a baseball game for the first time in 99 innings.

It lasted for cumulatively six batters as the Astros took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the inning and never looked back.

Up Next: The Rangers mercifully have Monday off before starting a homestand beginning with a brief two-game set against the Arizona Diamondbacks — which has recently taken on some importance — starting on Tuesday night.
