Sborz on paternity list, Martin up

Texas Rangers pitcher Josh Sborz has been placed on the paternity list, the team announced today. To replace him on the active roster, the Rangers have recalled outfielder Jason Martin.

Sborz’s wife gave birth to a son yesterday. He will, I suspect, miss today’s game and tomorrow’s game before returning on Friday.

In the meantime the Rangers bring Jason Martin back again. This is the fourth time he has been brought up from Round Rock. He could stay up once Sborz returns, depending on what moves the team moves between now and the Friday afternoon deadline,
