Minor league update for 7/3/21

Hans Crouse did well today

Down East rolled with Nick Krauth as their starter, and Krauth put up 6.1 innings of two runs ball with five hits and three strikeouts.

Keithron Moss had a triple and three walks. Luisangel Acuna had a double and a walk. Alejandro Osuna and Thomas Saggese each had a single and a double, and Saggese also had a walk. Cody Freeman and Obie Ricumstrict each had hits.

Avery Weems started for Hickory and got pulled after three, allowing ten runs. Nic Laio struck out five in four innings while allowing two runs. Blaine Crim, Frainyer Chavez and Jake Guenther all had hits.

Hans Crouse started for Frisco, and Crouse had possibly his best start as a pro. 5.2 scoreless, one hit, one walk, seven Ks. Blake Bass allowed a double in 0.2 IP. Cole Uvila struck out four in 1.2 scoreless. Nick Snyder threw scoreless ninth with a K. Bubba Thompson picked up a double.

Brock Burke started for Frisco and had one of his better outings of the season. He went 4.2 IP, allowed one run on a solo home run, walked two and struck out seven. Joe Gatto went two innings and also allowed a solo home run, walking one and striking out three. Jacob Lemoine threw 1.1 scoreless. Leody Taveras and Yonny Hernandez each had hits.

Aidan Curry, an 18 year old signed out of NYC last summer, gave up a hit then was lifted due to an injury. Jose Corniell threw three scoreless innings, but also balked three times in the first, bringing home the runner he inherited. Corniell also struck out six. D.J. McCarty, another 18 year old signed last summer, worked his first pro inning and allowed three runs.

Sam Huff was hitless in his rehab appearance. Jesus Moreno homered and walked. Junior Paniagua doubled. Henry Mateo singled and Zion Bannister had a pair of hits.
