The new, stripped down, rebuilding Rangers took on the hated Mariners and immediately got into a 7-0 hole. They battled back, getting home runs from Jonah Heim, Adolis Garcia and Jason Martin, but a difficult Kolby Allard outing created too big a hole to dig out of.
