Minor league update for 7/4/21

Round Rock got stomped by Sugar Land, 11-1. Tyler Phillips started and allowed four runs on five walks and four hits in 2.1 IP. Scott Engler struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings. Jason Bahr allowed two runs in 1.2 IP, striking out one and walking one. Ryder Ryan got up three runs in an inning of work, and Demarcus Evans allowed two runs in 1.1 IP.

Ryan Dorow, Carl Chester, Yonny Hernandez and Jason Martin each had hits.

Yerry Rodriguez started and did the “throw one inning on Sunday” thing. He allowed a hit and a walk but no runs. A.J. Alexy allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk in four innings, striking out six. Ty Thomas threw two scoreless innings, and Fernery Ozuna and Hever Bueno each threw a scoreless inning.

Josh Stowers had a single and a homer. Anderson Tejeda and Josh Jung had hits.

Miguel Aparicio went three for four with a homer for Hickory. Kellen Strahm had a homer and a walk. Blaine Crim and Jose Acosta each had a single and a double. Jonathan Ornelas had a hit.

Mason Englert started for the Wood Ducks. He gave up six runs in 3.1 IP, allowing three hits, walking three, striking out three, and hitting a batter. Nick Lockhart allowed three runs in four hits in an inning of work.

Jayce Easley had a double, a walk and two steals. Keyber Rodriguez was three for four with a double. Dustin Harris had two hits and two steals. Keithron Moss had a double.
