40-75 - Rangers end road trip with familiar 3-1 loss to Seattle

At least this one only took a couple of hours

MLB: Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Texas Rangers scored one run but the Seattle Mariners scored three runs.

I could go a lifetime without ever watching another meaningless contest between the Rangers and Mariners.

The “meaning” that was scraped together today was seeing which of these bad teams would win this series and Texas mustered just two hits on offense to all but hand Seattle the honor as Mariners starter Marco Gonzales collected a rare complete game win.

Don’t look now but the Rangers once again have a road losing streak.

Player of the Game: Um, er, uh, Charlie Culberson hit a solo home run.

Up Next: The Rangers head back home to take on the A’s again. RHP Dane Dunning will make the start for the Texas against LHP Cole Irvin for Oakland. Friday night’s series opener from The Shed is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
