The MLB Pipeline top 100 prospect list has been updated: https://www.mlb.com/prospects/top100/

And there are five — count ‘em, five — Texas Rangers prospects who make the list. Its been a while since we have that many guys on a top 100 list.

Jack Leiter, of course, is the top Ranger on the list, at #12 overall. Josh Jung is the next Ranger, being listed at #52.

Cole Winn, who has had a big 2021 campaign that has seen him move up the charts, enters the top 100 at #66. Justin Foscue’s injury has cost him at bats, but he’s mashed enough when he’s been on the field to be listed at #90. And, somewhat surprisingly, Sam Huff is at #100 despite missing much of the season.

That’s the last four first round picks of the Rangers who made the cut, which is noteworthy, given the team’s reputation for struggling with their first round picks.
