Season record: 38-67
Week 18 record: 3-2
Series record: 10-21, 3 split
The week was a wild one for the Rangers.
They split the first series back home against the Arizona Diamondbacks, winning the first game and dropping the last.
In his final game as a Ranger, Joey Gallo hit a game winning three-run home run. It was obvious he knew a trade was imminent with his post game interviews.
"I want the fans to know that I appreciate, you know, everything they've done for me..."

The next day the Rangers traded Kyle Gibson and Ian Kennedy to the Phillies.
After a day off, the Seattle Mariners came to town for a weekend series and Jonah Heim stole the show. The Rangers lost Friday’s game but thanks to Heim’s back-to-back walk off home runs, Texas won their first series since the June 29th series against Oakland A’s.
Per @EliasSports: Jonah Heim is the first MLB player with walk-off HRs in back-to-back games since Albert Pujols in June 2011.

The Rangers will cap off this home stand with a four game series against the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels don’t currently have a rotation set for that series and it’s questionable if Shohei Ohtani will pitch in this series as he has a bruised thumb.
