Well, that was unexpected. Facing a sweep with veteran Zack Greinke on the mound, the Rangers hauled off and put a week’s worth of runs on the board against AL favorite Houston.
It’s no Silver Boot but we take these.

Some of note:
- Adolis Garcia continues to haunt Houston as today he went 3-for-4 with a walk and five RBI. Oh yeah, and Garcia’s grand slam was the Rangers’ first of the season and his 29th dinger of the year.
- DJ Peters hit one to The Ballpark and went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
- Yonny Hernandez, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Nick Solak, and Jose Trevino also had a couple of hits each.
- Taylor Hearn didn’t allow a baserunner through the first four innings today. Overall, Hearn went a career-high 6 2⁄3 innings and allowed a couple of runs on six hits and zero walks. Hearn also tied his personal best with six strikeouts.
