47-85 - Rangers hold on to topple Rockies 4-3

That’s three in a row for Texas

MLB: Colorado Rockies at Texas Rangers Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Texas Rangers scored four runs and the Colorado Rockies scored three runs.

The Rangers close out the month of August on a three game winning streak. Ironically, the last time they won three games in a row before tonight, the streak began on the final day of July.

Player of the Game: Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-4 with a home run but it’s Nathaniel Lowe so who cares? HOWEVER, Leody Taveras hit another dinger, baby! He also drew a walk and stole a base and played his usual silky center field. Leo doubters are in shambles.

Also, Adolis Garcia walked three times so this was anything but a usual baseball game.

Up Next: The Rangers will have an opportunity to sweep the Rockies in tomorrow’s finale. RHP Kohei Arihara makes his return to the rotation for Texas against LHP Kyle Freeland for Colorado. Wednesday’s first pitch from The Shed is scheduled for 1:05 pm CT.
