Texas Rangers lineup for September 12, 2021 against the Oakland A’s: starting pitchers are Taylor Hearn for the Rangers and James Kaprielian for the A’s.

The Rangers have, as we have discussed, been pretty bad on the road this year. Really bad, actually. But they’ve played a little better on the road on this particular road trip, having split a four game set in Anaheim and swept two games against the D-Backs. Prior to the D-Backs sweep, the last road series the Rangers had won was at Oakland from June 29-July 1. I’m not going to go back and look it up, but I’m pretty sure at the time it was said it was the first time the Rangers had won a series in Oakland in several years.
