It’s the minor league update on a Sunday

Owen White started for Down East, going six innings for the Ducks, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out ten and walking no one. Leury Tejada threw two shutout innings, striking out one.

Aaron Zavala homered and walked. Thomas Saggese homered, doubled and walked. Angel Aponte doubled and walked. Cody Freeman was three for four with a double.

Kevin Goody started for Hickory, allowing three runs in 4.1 IP. Dustin Harris, Trevor Hauver and Frainyer Chavez each had two hits. David Garcia had a hit.

Frisco sent out Zak Kent, who bounced back from a difficult outing last time out. Kent went 6.2 IP, allowing three runs on four hits, including two home runs, while striking out seven. Hever Bueno threw a shutout inning.

Josh Smith had a pair of hits. Blaine Crim doubled.

Brock Holt, on a rehab assignment after being on the COVID i.l., was two for four with a walk for Round Rock. Josh Jung had a pair of doubles. Curtis Terry had a hit. Steele Walker had a hit and a walk. Ryan Dorow was two for four with a homer.
