Minor league update for 9/4/21

Down East started Nate Krauth, who had a dominating performance, striking out 11 in six innings of work while allowing an unearned run on two hits. Michael Brewer threw three shutout innings, striking out four while walking one.

Luisangel Acuna and Daniel Mateo each homered. Jayce Easley had two hits and a walk. Keyber Rodriguez and Angel Aponte each had hits. Aaron Zavala drew a walk.

Cole Winn started for Frisco and threw two shutout innings, walking one and striking out one. Ronny Henriquez threw five innings and gave up three runs — all in his first inning of work — with six Ks against two walks. Justin Foscue and Blaine Crim each had a hit. Bubba Thompson and Davis Wendzel each had a hit and a walk.

Joe Gatto allowed a run on a solo home run in three innings of work, walking one and striking out four. Ryder Ryan and Scott Engler each threw two scoreless.

Ryan Dorow homered. Steele Walker had a hit. Curtis Terry had a single and a double.

Leury Tejeda started for the Surprise Guys and allowed a run in two innings of work. Josh Gessner went three innings, which is confusing, because when I did yesterday’s update he was in that box score, though apparently that was an error. Anyway, he allowed a run, struck out seven and walked three. Bradford Webb threw two shutout innings. Larson Kindreich, who I keep wanting to call Brooks, struck out three and walked one. Emiliano Teodo struck out two in a scoreless inning.

Jojo Blackmon tripled and walked. Tucker Mitchell had a pair of hits. Antonio Cabello, Cam Cauley and Keithron Moss all had hits.
