Down East started Gavin Collyer on Tuesday, and Collyer had another strong outing, going five innings, allowing one unearned run while striking out six and walking two. The 20 year old righthander now has a 3.36 ERA on the season.

The Ducks scored 17 runs on 23 hits, so lots of big days for hitters. Aaron Zavala was 4 for 4 with a walk, two stolen bases and two doubles. Luisangel Acuna had three singles, a walk and two stolen bases. Jayce Easley had a pair of hits and a stolen base. Cody Freeman was 3 for 6 with a double. Daniel Mateo was 3 for 5 with a double. Jose Acosta was 2 for 5 with a stolen base and a walk. Keyber Rodriguez had a hit.

Justin Slaten started for Hickory and put up a Quality Start, going seven innings, striking out six, walking one, and allowing a solo home run. David Garcia was 3 for 4 with a double. Dustin Harris had a single and a walk. Jake Guenther homered. Ezequiel Duran had a hit.

Frisco had Cole Ragans go three innings, allowing three runs on a pair of home runs and three walks while striking out four. Hever Bueno got rocked, allowing seven runs in 1.2 IP.

Bubba Thompson had a single and a double. Sam Huff doubled. Josh Smith had a pair of hits. Davis Wendzel had two hits and a walk. Justin Foscue had three walks.

Brock Burke struck out three for the Express in three innings of one run ball, allowing a solo home run and walking a batter. Yerry Rodriguez went 2.2 innings without allowing a run, striking out two and walking one. Scott Engler allowed four runs in 1.1 IP. Ryder Ryan allowed a run in two innings of work.

Curtis Terry had a single, a double and a walk. Steele Walker and Ryan Dorow each had a hit.

Round Rock box score

D.J. McCarty started in Surprise, throwing three innings, striking out five and walking two while allowing one run. Mitch Bratt allowed two unearned runs in two innings, striking out three. Evan Elliott and Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa each threw a scoreless inning.

Willie Calhoun continued his rehab assignment going two for three with a homer. Junior Paniagua homered. Efrenyer Narvaez had a double and a walk. Cam Cauley doubled. Jojo Blackmon and Marcus Smith each had a hit.
