Free agent projections are out from Fangraphs and ESPN, and so it is that time again — time for the “should the Rangers sign This Player?” series of offseason polls.

Today we are looking at Texas Rangers DH/catcher Mitch Garver.

At Fangraphs, Ben Clemens has Garver at 2 years, $26 million, while the Median Crowdsource is at 2 years, $20 million. Kiley McDaniel at ESPN has Garver at 3 years, $37.5 million.

Expert 1: $45M, 3 years. Expert 2: $18M, 2 years. Me: $30M, 2 years.

Well, that’s not terribly helpful. In fact, the Heyman projections include a lower number than the lowest Fangraphs/ESPN projection, and a higher number than the highest Fangraphs/ESPN projection.

I’m going to go with the McDaniel projection.

Would you want the Rangers to sign Mitch Garver at 3 years, $37.5 million?
