Normally this is something I would be anxiously awaiting over the course of the offseason. However, the Texas Rangers won the 2023 World Series, and I’m still all warm and aglow from that, so my interest in the prospect rankings is probably at an all-time low right now. I mean, it isn’t that I don’t care, its just that is something my care level is pretty low on right now.
Anyway, at the top of the list, the Rangers went with their stud outfield prospect who has MLB playoff experience over their stud outfield prospect who has no MLB experience. Other things of note are that Jack Leiter and Cole Winn didn’t make the top 10 list, nor did Jose Corniell, while Cam Cauley did. Cauley has quietly seen his stock rise over the past year, and is facing a big year at Frisco in 2024 — his speed and defense is legit, but he has to prove he can hit against higher level pitchers.
